Coconut Oil & Peppermint Foot Cream Ingredients
You will need all the ingredients below for preparing this cream. I’ve linked to Amazon products in case you don’t have them. Have in mind that we receive commissions from purchases you make through our links, but at no extra cost for you. This also doesn’t influence the products we recommend.
- Peppermint essential oil (antibacterial, muscle relaxant) – 7 or 8 drops
- Extra-virgin coconut oil (antifungal, antibacterial) – 2 tablespoons
- Shea butter (deeply moisturizes skin) – 2 tablespoons
- Sweet almond oil (moisturizes skin) – 1 tablespoon
Coconut Oil & Peppermint Foot Cream Recipe: How to prepare
Step 1. Combine the coconut and almond oils with shea butter & melt them.
- Put 2 tablespoons of shea butter in a microwave-safe container.
- Add 1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil to it.
- Add 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin coconut oil as well.
Microwave the ingredients for 1 to 2 minutes until they melt completely. Take the container out of the microwave, mix the ingredients so that you get a homogenous paste and let it cool down to room temperature.
Step 2. Add the peppermint essential oil & let the mixture solidify.
- Put in 7 or 8 drops of peppermint essential oil. Since essential oils are extremely volatile, any heat will render them ineffective. Therefore, it’s important to let the other ingredients cool down completely before adding the essential oil.
- Stir well to dissolve the peppermint oil in the oil blend.
- Allow the ingredients to solidify completely. For quick results, you can place it in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes to solidify.
Step 3. Whisk up the blend & store it in a tin can for daily use.
- Use a hand blender to whisk up the solidified mix until it turns into a frothy cream.
- Transfer the cream to a shallow, tin can for storage.

While store-bought lotions and creams can contain a lot of questionable ingredients, this Homemade Peppermint Foot Cream contains only four natural and easy to pronounce ingredients! It’s very easy to use it as well.
Simply apply at night, before going to sleep and make sure you spread a thin layer all over your feet. To increase absorption, you can put over a pair of socks. It won’t feel great, but you get used to it!
Make sure to properly scrub your feet regularly in order to remove all the dead skin and get your feet and especially heels back in shape in no time!
Homemade Peppermint Foot Cream Recipe 2
This is definitely one of the more popular foot cream recipes, and can also be made with coconut oil.
Peppermint in general is often used with foot crème because peppermint has a storing scent that is great for deodorizing your feet and helping the fresh smell to last a lot longer.
Nothing can be more comforting than applying a cooling foot cream/balm on your tired and aching feet. This peppermint-based foot cream has the goodness of nourishing agents, such as coconut oil, shea butter, and sweet almond oil.
This is basically the same recipe as above, but in larger quantities so that you can use it longer. It has a solid shelf life, so you shouldn’t worry about it going bad, especially if you use it constantly.
Homemade Peppermint Foot Cream Recipe 2 Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shea butter (measure when solid)
- 1/2 cup organic virgin coconut oil (measure when solid)
- 4 tbsp sweet almond oil
- 30 drops peppermint essential oil
Homemade Peppermint Foot Cream Recipe 2 Utensils
- A double boiler or heat safe measuring cup in a pan of water
- Small glass jars or tins for your finished cream
Homemade Peppermint Foot Cream Recipe 2 Method
- In a double boiler or heat safe measuring cup in a pan of water, melt the shea butter and coconut oil.
- Remove from the heat and add the sweet almond oil. Allow the oils to cool to room temperature before adding the peppermint essential.
- Stir in the peppermint essential oil and place mixture in the freezer for 15-20 minutes until the oils start to solidify.
- Using a handheld mixer, standing mixer, immersion blender or blender, mix until it’s a creamy consistency. It should only take a few minutes, if that.
- Spoon your cream into your jars or tins. Store in a cool, dark place, out of direct sunlight or in the refrigerator (if not using right away.) Shelf life is at least 3-6 months.
Storing the Homemade Peppermint Foot Cream 2
Keep in mind, natural lotions and creams do not have the same shelf life as those full of preservatives.
Two of the ingredients in our Peppermint Foot Cream (coconut oil and peppermint essential oil) are naturally antimicrobial (they help destroy unwanted bacteria) and will extend the shelf life.
If you’re making a large batch, storing your Peppermint Foot Cream in the refrigerator will also extend the shelf life.
Even without refrigeration, your Peppermint Foot Cream should last at least 3-6 months. Store in a cool place, out of direct sunlight.
